My Dream Team// If I Were to Take Over the World, Who Would be by my Side?

Hello! I had this idea during one of my rare strokes of genius, and I am super super excited to show you. You know those tag your friend memes on Facebook during middle school where they are like WHICH ONES OF YOUR FRIENDS WOULD DIE FIRST DURING A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. I decided to do that but with book characters, and instead of a zombie apocalypse, taking over the world. So welcome to Sydney’s Dream Team.

Me, obviously. It is my dream team, not some other random character.

But, if we’re being honest, I definitely don’t have the wits or calmness about me to be a team leader. At the first sight of trouble I’d get scared and run. So a much better choice for a team leader would be Gansey from the Raven Cycle. He basically is the epitome of a leader. Charismatic enough that others like him, loyal to his team, and has a quality about him that demands others listen.

I’ve decided the Brawler is the muscle. The person who gets in the fight right away and lands a couple punches. Even if they aren’t the most skilled. So I’d have to go with Razor from The Thunder Road Series. He is basically a loose cannon and always is itching for a fight. Even if he can’t finish, he can start it when we need it and is intimidating enough.

I had some trouble with this one, but ultimately decided on Cammie Morgan from The Gallagher Girls. She’s basically a trained spy, so I’m sure she knows how to use all types of weapons, real and improvised. Also, I just love this series and couldn’t finish this post without including a Gallagher Girl.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I was so impressed with Hanna’s cleverness in Gemina. The amount of schemes and plans she came up with on the spot. I would 100% trust her to lead my team in a world takeover.

Is it too soon to say Primrose Everdeen? I always had such a soft spot for her. And she had such a natural affinity for nursing people back to health. I’d keep her safe though.

(that was way too soon I’m so sorry). 

Charlotte Holmes from A Study in Charlotte is a little cold and stuffy for my type, but you have to admit she knows what she’s doing when it comes to science. Hopefully the rest of my team will bring out the best in her.

Could I really choose anyone else but Carswell Thorne and his beloved ship? He’ll always be there when you need him, and even though his flying is a bit iffy, I’d trust him.

How many times was Percy and his friends in a basically impossible situation, and yet they still made it through? How about when Percy literally went through hell and back and came out alive? He is the ultimate morale booster, the king of underdog battles. He literally went against Titans and won. Like, he knows how to keep things in perspective and make impossible battles seem possible.

I had a lot of good choices, but I decided on Jubilee from This Shattered World. She is a trained soldier, so I’d trust her to keep a cool head in a battle. But she also has a heart, and I know she won’t get carried away by the blood. She knows when mercy is okay.

I’m not sure if I’m remembering correctly but I have a recollection of Day from the Legend Trilogy being really good at demolishing stuff with homemade bombs and etc. So I’d have him lead the way sneakily with his little bombs to make way for all my fighters and other team members.

OBVIOUSLY the cute little doggie from The Unexpected Everything. I’m not going to lie, I forgot his name, but I think it was something like Bertie. He’s just such a cutie pie, I’m sure he’d win everyone over to our side without even having to fight.

And there you have it, my dream world takeover team. Some of these were very difficult, my goodness. And I wanted to mix it up and make sure the characters were from different books but for some I just wanted to use the whole series. Hope you enjoyed this fun little list I made!
